ARTIST STATEMENT
I was introduced to ceramics at school, and it was more of a fortunate coincidence. It allows me to combine a sculptural approach with painting or illustration, and over time I realized that this connection is what excites me. I perceive ordinary reality as a beautiful surface, beneath which there are other layers. I enjoy pulling them out, playing with context, and the expectations of the viewer. For example, transforming a wordplay into a literal ceramic piece, like the old radios and televisions that I complete. I want to capture the essence of things, the archetypes that unite us, rather than divide us. That's why I often use stylization and symbols that are universal.
In my works, fantastic creatures come to life, full of these symbols and references to ancient mythologies, as well as today's pop-cultural myths. My personal creations are characterized by surreal expressiveness, rich in mysterious symbolism, emotions, and continuous transformation. Mystical inspiration permeates the details – from strange organisms to zoomorphic visions, reminiscent of scenes from other dimensions.
The paintings and drawings are filled with organic forms in various stages of development, evoking mysterious cosmic worlds, and act as a visual diary of the subconscious, revealing the constant metamorphosis of forms in abstract and unidentifiable spaces. Each piece is an original that opens the door to a world of fantasy and stimulates the viewer's imagination.
